On October 18th, 2014 a brand new documentary film called "Song of the Cowboy" (directed by Herbert Krill) aired in four European countries on German Public Television. The documentary was filmed during 2013 and 2014 by an Austrian film crew that came to the United States and followed the lives and performances of 4 western entertainers: Wylie Gustafson (Montana), Henry Real Bird (Montana), Gail Steiger (Arizona), and Kristyn (with guest appearance by Devon Dawson). The documentary focuses on cowboy/western music in America and also highlights the granddaddy of cowboy gatherings, the National Cowboy Poetry Gathering in Elko, NV.
